Business & Human Rights
The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre is an independent, international, non-profit organisation, in a collaborative partnership with Amnesty International sections and leading academic institutions.

Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs: Human Rights Initiative
The Human Rights Initiative was a multi year research and dialogue project of the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, based in New York City. Finishing in 2005, the Human Rights Initiative aimed to provide critical perspective of what happens when international human rights confronts realities on the ground.

Centro de Derechos Economicos y Sociales
CDES was established in 1997 to confront the most pressing development threats in Latin America through human rights, interdisciplinary investigations and grassroots pressure. CDES' work is based on the belief that long-term solutions require an active and engaged civil society, and its projects are aimed at broadening participation and accoutnability. CDES grew out of CESR's office in Quito, Ecuador and is now an independent sister organization of CESR.

Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales
CELS was founded to foster and protect human rights and to strengthen the democratic system and Rule of Law in Argentina. CELS' activities include work on institutional violence, prison conditions, gender discrimination and economic, social and cultural rights justiciability.

Center for Housing Rights and Evictions (COHRE)
The Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions (COHRE) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit human rights organisation. COHRE is the leading international human rights organisation campaigning for the protection of housing rights and the prevention of forced evictions.

Center for Women's Global Leadership
The Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL) develops and facilitates women's leadership for women's human rights and social justice worldwide. CWGL's programs promote the leadership of women and advance feminist perspectives in policy-making processes in local, national and international arenas. CWGL works from a human rights perspective with an emphasis on violence against women, sexual and reproductive health and socio-economic well-being.

Committee for the Abolition of Third World Debt (CADTM)
CADTM is an international network of individuals and local committees from across Europe and Latin America, Africa and Asia. It was founded in Belgium on 15th March 1990. The network acts in close liaison with other movements and organisations fighting for the same ideals. Its main preoccupation, besides the debt issue, is the planning of activities and radical alternatives for the creation of a world respectful of people's fundamental rights, needs and liberties.

Corporate Watch provides news, analysis, research tools and action resources to respond to corporate activity around the globe and works with those fighting for corporate accountability, human rights, social and environmental justice.

FIAN
FIAN is an international human rights organization that since more than 20 years advocates for the realization of the right to food. FIAN consists of national sections and individual members in over 50 countries around the world.

Global Policy Forum
GPF monitors global policy making at the United Nations to promote a more open, accountable and democratic policy process at the global level so as to foster democracy, social justice, human rights and mutual solidarity. Their website includes resources on social and economic policy and on UN sanctions in Iraq and elsewhere.

Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world. We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice.

Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage.

Institute for Policy Studies
IPS is a multi-issue progressive think tank located in Washington, D.C. that offers resources for progressive social change locally, nationally, and globally through books, articles, films, conferences, and activist education.

International Council on Human Rights Policy
The International Council on Human Rights Policy provides a forum for applied research, reflection and forward thinking on matters of international human rights policy. Publish What You Pay Campaign
International oil, gas, and mining companies pay billions of dollars a year to the governments of many less developed countries that are rich in natural resources. Few of these countries' citizens benefit from this financial windfall, however, because of government corruption and mismanagement. The "Publish What You Pay" campaign aims to help citizens hold their governments accountable for how these resource-related funds are managed and distributed.

Scholar Rescue Fund (Institute of International Education)
Around the world, scholars have long suffered harassment, torture and persecution as a result of their work. In the worst cases, scholars pay with their lives for their dedication to scholarship and freedom of thought. The Institute of International Education, an independent nonprofit, has participated in the rescue of persecuted scholars since its founding in 1919. In 2002, IIE launched the Scholar Rescue Fund as a formalized response to this ongoing international dilemma.
