Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs: Human Rights Initiative
The Human Rights Initiative was a multi year research and dialogue project of the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, based in New York City. Finishing in 2005, the Human Rights Initiative aimed to provide critical perspective of what happens when international human rights confronts realities on the ground.
Centro de Derechos Economicos y Sociales
CDES was established in 1997 to confront the most pressing development threats in Latin America through human rights, interdisciplinary investigations and grassroots pressure. CDES' work is based on the belief that long-term solutions require an active and engaged civil society, and its projects are aimed at broadening participation and accoutnability. CDES grew out of CESR's office in Quito, Ecuador and is now an independent sister organization of CESR.

Committee for the Abolition of Third World Debt (CADTM)
CADTM is an international network of individuals and local committees from across Europe and Latin America, Africa and Asia. It was founded in Belgium on 15th March 1990. The network acts in close liaison with other movements and organisations fighting for the same ideals. Its main preoccupation, besides the debt issue, is the planning of activities and radical alternatives for the creation of a world respectful of people's fundamental rights, needs and liberties.

The "Publish What You Pay" campaign aims to help citizens hold their governments accountable for how these resource-related funds are managed and distributed.
Scholar Rescue Fund (Institute of International Education)
Around the world, scholars have long suffered harassment, torture and persecution as a result of their work. In the worst cases, scholars pay with their lives for their dedication to scholarship and freedom of thought. The Institute of International Education, an independent nonprofit, has participated in the rescue of persecuted scholars since its founding in 1919. In 2002, IIE launched the Scholar Rescue Fund as a formalized response to this ongoing international dilemma.
