CESR Annual Report 2025

In 2025, as austerity, inequality, and attacks on human rights intensified across the globe, CESR worked alongside social movements, civil society organizations, and allies to advance bold, rights-based alternatives. From the landmark negotiations on a UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation to the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, we pushed to place human rights, gender justice, climate justice, and democratic accountability at the center of global economic governance.

This report highlights our collective efforts to challenge unjust economic systems and advance transformative solutions on tax justice, debt, climate finance, care, and public services. It reflects the growing power of movements and communities demanding an economy that serves people and planet and our shared commitment to building a more just and rights-based future.
