In 2024, CESR deepened its efforts to confront a global economy that continues to prioritize profit, debt repayment, and market confidence over human rights. While governments claimed there was no fiscal space for care systems, public services, or climate action, corporate profits surged and inequality widened. CESR worked alongside partners to expose these failures as the result of policy choices, not inevitabilities. This report captures how we supported rights-based alternatives through research, advocacy, and cross-movement collaboration.
