WHERE: Conference Room 7, North Lawn Building, United Nations, New York, 10017
The Center for Economic and Social Rights (CESR), IBON International and Amnesty International, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations and the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR), will be organizing an interactive forum on integrating human rights, including the right to development, into the post-2015 sustainable development framework.
Taking place during the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, this unique event will hear a range of current proposals from the human rights community worldwide on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, reflect on existing challenges, and seek to promote dialogue on human rights standards, including the right to development, as a normative and operational framework for the post-2015 commitments. It will be an opportune moment for leaders from governments, UN agencies, civil society organizations, social movements, academia, and other major development cooperation organizations to gather together and share their visions and perspectives on a transformative sustainable development agenda aligned with human rights and the right to development.
